Apartment Plans Approved by City Council

Six buildings to be built on Center Ridge Road property

Westlake City Council approved a development plan to build an apartment complex on Center Ridge Road.

Kings Tree Apartments, at 25776 Center Ridge Road, will feature six six-unit buildings. That's less than the allowed limit of 45 units, planning director Robert Parry pointed out.

Each apartment will be two bedrooms.

Architect Stephen Schill told the planning commission at its last meeting that he designed the buildings to look like large houses. The first level is faced in brick, with vinyl siding above that. Each apartment has a balcony.

No garages face the street.

The back five acres of the property are not being touched, as those are zoned for single-family properties and could be developed as such someday.

Is that the empty space next to the library?

It's a ways east of the library. The property is by Williams Drive on the north side of Center Ridge Road.
