Stolen Credit Card, Jewelry and Purse
The following arrest information has been provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Son Steals Mother's Credit Card
A Westlake mom called police at about 5 p.m. Feb. 5 when she realized that her 16-year-old son had snuck out of the house with her credit card the night before. The bank that issued the card called the woman about $700 in suspicious transactions in Beachwood.
The mother cancelled the credit card. Her son came home at about 10:30 p.m. that same day. Police arrested him, and he will face charges of theft and misuse of a credit card in Juvenile Court.
Homeowner Suspects Painters In Jewelry Theft
An Adams Lane resident reported $5,300 of jewelry missing from her home at Feb. 5. She suspects the culprits were painters working on her home from Jan. 25 to Jan. 30. Police are continuing to investigate.
Purse Stolen From Car At Bally
A Cleveland woman's car was broken into between 7 and about 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6 while parked at Bally Total Fitness. Her passenger side front window was smahsed in, and her purse was gone. Police have no suspects, but a red Ford Windstar with two white men inside was seen circling the lot an hour before the break-in.
