Actors Sought for 'Black Tie' at Clague Playhouse

Auditions will be held in February

 

Actors are being sought for a Clague Playhouse production of Black Tie, a play on family, marriage and relationships.

Auditions will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 and 5. The auditions will include scenes from the play as well as improvisational work. Those auditioning are asked to bring an audition photo and a resume, and be prepared to stay for the duration of auditions that evening.

The play will be performed May 3-26, with performances at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Black Tie, written by A.R. Gurney, is set in a resort hotel in the Adirondacks. An advertising executive is dressing for dinner the night before his son's wedding. As he gets ready, Curtis' son and daughter drop in, and he also gets visits from the ghost of his late father.

Roles being filled include Curtis, his wife Mimi, his twentysomething son Teddy and daughter Elsie, and his father. The script contains adult language.
