5 Things To Know Today: Wednesday, July 13

B Spot opens, Harry Potter and more!

 

1) Michael Symon's long-anticipated B Spot restaurant is opening at 11 a.m. today at Crocker Park. Featuring burgers, brats, beers and more, the menu is enticing.

2) Westlake's James DiBiasio will play on the Prospect League All-Star team, a summer collegiate league today in Beckley, West Virginia. According to the Ohio Wesleyan University website, the second baseman led the Battling Bishops team with 17 stolen bases and came in 14th in the league with a batting average of .337. He is also a two-time All-North Coast Athletic conference choice and the 2009 North Coast Atheletic Conference Newcomer of the Year.

3) Children ages 4-12 years old have the chance to venture into the Deathly Hallows with Harry, Hermoine and Ron from 2-4:30 p.m. at Westlake Porter Public Library. To register, call 440-871-2600.

4) Tomorrow will be sunny again, but not as warm with the high in the mid-70s, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the upper 50s.

5) Today is the day Frank Sinatra made his recording debut. Back in 1939, Sinatra got together with the Harry James band. Soon after, he became a teenage heartthrob and continued recording for more than 50 years.
