2013 in Westlake: What Are Your Hopes?

Happy 2013, Westlake!

With 2012 kicked to the curb, it's time to look ahead to a new year.

There could be a lot going on in Westlake in 2013. The American Greetings project remains on hold as the company decides whether or not to go private. Elections for mayor and city council will be held. The new Westlake High School and Lee Burneson Middle School will open.

Do you think the American Greetings project will happen? Will anyone challenge mayor Dennis Clough, who has served for 27 years? What new businesses will come to town?

I wish Crocker Park would open a Cache, high end womans shoe store and a babysitting service for all the annoying teenagers in the movie theater. American Greetings, probably not.
